In making initial contact with BSC you agree that the contact information you provide can be held securely by the data controller and that contact be made regarding the arrangement of appointments until such time you request otherwise. Communication may continue from initial contact, during treatment and until either party express to terminate contact. Personal data also include information related to the use of the organisation’s website, including cookies and tracking information such as IP addresses and data for analytical tools. This site uses third party data processors such as Google Analytics. The provision and hosting of this website is via additional agent who may have access to data such as IP addresses and information for search analytic data. Google Analytics and Wix will have their own privacy policies in place in accordance with EU GDPR compliance.

Cookies are used to retain user preference information and to provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications such as Google Analytics. Sharing further personal data is usually for the purposes of informing the practitioner and engaging voluntarily in a therapeutic treatment intervention. This data is held in accordance with GDPR and the appropriate professional guidelines. Personal data is held securely by the service provider and, as applicable, the website service provider. This data is not shared with any third parties - apart from in any case of clinical or legal necessity as determined by legal or practice obligations or specific governmental body requests and as outlined at the onset of engagement of treatment. In such case this will be discussed directly with the individual at that time. We do not engage in any marketing or mail-out activities. BSC  will only collect and use your personal information details in order to provide you with the services you require. We do not sell or broker your data or share with anyone else or third-party organisations. 

Personal data is held prior to, during and post engagement with services in accordance with professional guidelines. Personal data is held securely in the UK for six years from the cessation of engagement with services after which point will be destroyed. 

 

Data users are entitled to exercise the following rights regarding how their data is processed at any time:

The right to be informed. You have the right to review the personal information we store about you and your sessions at any time. These will be sent by email, in a Microsoft Word document attachment. You also have the right to request we update or amend your data if it is incorrect. To action any of these rights at any time please contact the Data Protection Officer, BSC or alternatively make contact via the website contact form or email infobscounsellng@gmail.com  with your request.

Complaints. If, for any reason, you are unhappy with how we are handling your data, please raise your concerns with us first, so that we can seek a resolution. If you are still unsatisfied, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Disclosure. Unless required to do so by law, we will not otherwise share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent.

Data handling & storage. Our appointment booking and document service is provided by Isosconnect. They specialise in providing secure collection, processing and storage of personal data for healthcare practitioners worldwide. Your data is stored through Isosconnect using their data storage facilities, databases and the Isosconnect web framework, on secure servers which are always encrypted when in storage and in transit across the internet.

Payment. If you choose to pay for your service with a debit or credit card your information will be passed to our payment processors – PayPal for online card payments (for purchasing our gift vouchers) or iZettle for card payments in person. We never store your credit card details – third parties always process it. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Security Standard (PCI-DSS). PayPal offer a service whereby you can quickly pay for your gift voucher using the credit or debit card details previously stored with them. We can’t see your stored card details or information. PayPal and iZettle all adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
